Statement of Faith

I believe the Bible is the supernaturally inspired Word of God and is without error. It is authoritative and designed for practical instruction for right living.

 

I believe there is one God, eternal and self-existing in three persons (Father, Son, and Holy Spirit).

 

I believe humanity was created in the image of God but fell into sin and is lost. We are unable to repair our relationship with God on our own. Only through God’s interventions can our relationship be restored.

 

 I believe that Jesus Christ is both fully God and fully man. That He was born of a virgin and that He lived a sinless life; that He was crucified, died as a penalty for our sins, and was raised from the dead on the third day. Later, He ascended to the Father’s right hand where He is the head of the church and intercedes for believers.

 

I believe salvation is by grace through faith in Christ. It is a free gift offered to all who put their faith in Jesus Christ.  It cannot be achieved by good works and it is not based on race, status or ability.

 

I believe that all who are united to the risen and ascended Son of God are members of the church which is the body and bride of Christ. Having been united into one body by the work of the Holy Spirit, believers are to love one another with a pure heart, keeping the unity of the Spirit.

 

I believe that Christians, as disciples of Christ, are called to grow toward spiritual maturity through the knowledge of and obedience to the Word of God and submission to the Holy Spirit, who indwells and seals all believers at the moment of salvation. As followers of Christ, it is our commission to spread the gospel message of Christ throughout the whole world.

 

I believe that Jesus Christ will return to the earth visibly and bodily, and at a time when He is not expected. Christ will come to judge the living and the dead, and all believers will be gathered to Him where they will spend all eternity in His presence.
